Testimonials from organizations we support

Keep Charlotte Beautiful

The outpouring of community and corporate volunteers was phenomenal.  Local media, politicians, students: young and old, arrived at the JCSU campus on a Saturday morning ready to work. Yes, there were a couple of logistic hiccups:  Inaccurate team captain info, shuttle service confusion, improper dissemination of tools. However, the foundation allowed those who were able, experienced, and willing  to lend a hand and assist in those critical areas.  All, including KCB members who participated that day worked hard at making sure this event was a success .

My entire family participated last year.  They had a ball! Each carried a trash bag, garbage picker and got to work.  I look forward to KCB partnering with the Canty Foundation again.  I'm certain that a KCB and The Chris Canty Foundation partnership will have an impactful influence on the over all recruitment of volunteer efforts as we move towards the beautification of Charlotte

Catholic Charities Community Services/Alianza

"The Chris Canty foundation gave an opportunity to blend with N.F.L. Players instructing fundamentals in terms of team building. I was able to utilize my teachings and philosophies in helping students become young men by implementing the importance of responsibility. During the course of two day clinic, I was in charge of a group in which they rotate to different drills and continue to develop the mind, body, and soul as a forum to build self-confidence. Should there be another Chris Canty Clinic, I would like to spear head an activity as one of the football coaches because passionately speaking, I believe in challenging students to be greater."

The Greater Enrichment Program

The Greater Enrichment Program is truly grateful for the opportunities that the Chris Canty Foundation has afforded our student and families. CCF’s mission to serve the Charlotte Community is evident in all of the quality projects and services that they sponsor and facilitate. Joseph Canty is a great leader whose passion and commitment resonates throughout the entire organization.  I am so thankful for CCF’s collaboration on several projects this past year including our National Lights on for After School Event, Family Fitness Festival, 6th Grade Rise Ceremony and West End Clean-Up. The Chris Canty Foundation service model is outstanding. The leadership and volunteers truly believe in giving back and helping others. The Male's Place

Dear Mr. Canty, You made a difference! Please know that the Camp Scholarships and support that The Chris Canty Foundation has provided for our young men in The Male's Place program was much appreciated. The positive experiences with the camp have gone a long way in enhancing the mental, physical and spiritual development of our warriors. The boys are still buzzing about the coolness and the uniqueness of meeting Chris and the other role models made available through the camp. Many have promised that this will serve as an incentive and motivation for them to further commit themselves to academic and behavioral success. Again we are thankful for your willingness to choose to make a difference in the lives of so many youth in our community. You are truly outstanding role models. Reggie Singleston, The Male's Place

Merry Oaks Elementary School

Dear Joseph Canty and Staff, Thank you so much for coming to Merry Oaks Elementary School and giving our fifth graders such an outstanding assembly this fall. It was wonderful for the students to participate in a presentation in which they actually got to move! I am the P.E. teacher,  and students still talk to me about the assembly, and how they want to be physically fit  like you and your staff.  The motivation, and important information you and your staff shared with these student have left an important impression on them. Thank you for selecting our school and helping educate our students to make healthy, life long choices.  - Marcy C.

Care To Share Outreach

We would like to thank the Chris Canty Foundation for your generous support and donation for the Thanksgiving Dinner for the homeless. The event was very successful at all levels and we are very grateful for everything that you did to help us provide food, comfort, dignity and a day of sunshine into the lives of more than 100 hungry families with so many children that had no place else to go on this special holiday where most Americans celebrate being thankful for all of their blessings.  We really appreciate your support and without it, we could not have had the opportunity to serve so many people. On behalf of myself and all the volunteers from Care to Share that sacrificed a great portion of their holiday and worked very hard to love and serve families in our community , we thank you again for your incredibly generous donation. - Mrs. Hattie McNealy - Care To Share Outreach
